Australian only import. Dallas Crane, evidently, is wildly popular in their homeland but not seen a release in the US. We picked up some of this album after reading about the band`s explosion of their own brand of White Stripes, Von Bondies, The Black Keys via Jet and The Strokes rock `n roll. That`s were the band comfortably can place themselves. The album kicks butt and reeks of serious live vibe. 2004 has been a massive year for Dallas Crane scooping three Australian nominations for Best Rock Album - `Dallas Crane`, Breakthrough Artist - Single - `Dirty Hearts` and Breakthrough Album - Album - `Dallas Crane`. It`s not as immediate as Jet, though, but it`s a fine, fine album of kick ass rock `n roll deserving of a US release.
