Oranger - The Quiet Vibrationland | BACK IN PRINT!! At its release, it was the long-awaited followup album to the "doorway to norway" cd, recorded on equipment from The Beach Boys Brother Studios, this is 60`s-meets-90s psych-pop, with new emphasis on the mellower side of 60s pop as favored by The Lilys and Quasi, more bubblegum than bombastic, more Kinks than Flaming Lips. "Oranger proves that American Psychedelia hasn`t looked healthier since its golden period in the late60`s"-NME and SPIN said "Lock three 60`s record geeks in a garage with their vinyl and you might get this psychedelic power-pop group. It`s Nuggets: The Next Generation baby.", while CMJ said "Angelic Beach Boys harmonies, KeithMoon splatter drumming, driving post-punk bass, and chunky Pete Townsend guitar". Like a cross of the Flaming Lips playing a cross between late 60`s Who, "Let It Be"-era Beatles and Monkees style bubblegum pop. A crowning achievement in the year 2000!
