The Doll Test are from members of Seattle pop greats, The Model Rockets( Scott Sutherland, Boyd Remillard and Graham Black)!! Fans of The Model Rockets will not be disappointed, but you`ll hear Sloan-esque poppings all over too, definitely plenty of The dB`s, Soundtrack Of Our Lives, New Pornographers. I LOVE it when bands rip it up w/ their Rickenbackers! It`s just classic power pop with a distinct Northwestern edge. "Mosque Alarm Clock" is a tasty adrenalized brew of no-filler powerful and rocking sharply crafted pop. At every turn, armies of chiming 12 strings stride confidently and rough-and-tumble incendiary melodies and vocals that can make the earth move. No duds here, sorry--the energy never dissipates and cheery bright hooks are as relentless as they are obvious! The Doll Test put forth a bowl-filled display of striking and melodious enjoyment -- You`ll hear clear mirror reflections of the bands` influences but never quite be able to wrap your finger around who they are exactly because like their previous band, the talent take a slice-and- dice it fresher and with more gusto that only well-seasoned veterans can pull off. MASSIVELY Recommended!!
