2005 reunion of The Carpettes, who were a popular late 70`s/early 80`s punky pop band in the vein of The Boys, The Vapors and The Vibrators in England. They had a few albums out on Beggars Banquet and lots of singles and EP`s. Well, here they are back together in 2005 recording 13 pretty darn exciting, rocking and shiny vibrant rock `n roll that reminds me of early 80`s Ramones, Psychotic Youth(obscure=ish Swedish band, check `em out..we have a CD left of theirs) and, on the more recent front, The Groovie Ghoulies. Imagine Chuck Berry playing The Ramones and that sort of grabs it, too. It`s punky in spirit, straight ahead rocking in sound and always obsessed with finding catchy choruses and melodies in the verses. Bless The Boys! They call themselves a band that is "Power Pop For The Punk Generation" and that dead-on. Like the bands listed above, The Carpettes master a blazing, blisteringly fast style of rock `n roll, but sharply crisp guitars, biting
melodies and sing-a-long choruses. Very Highly Recommended!
