The Ditchflowers - Carried Away

Here you go! One of the best releases you`ll hear in 2007. The Ditchflowers. We are talking all kinds of great sounds here: Jon Brion (go to "Spend My Life"), The Odds (check out "Since I Met You"), The Rembrandts, Blue Cartoon, Todd Rundgren, Willie Nile, Jim Boggia and Toy Matinee.

"Exquisite - sweet, timeless pop. Fans of melodic guitar-pop in the mold of such benchmarks as The Beatles, Kinks, Bowie, Todd Rundgren, XTC, et al, should make an immediate and concerted effort to obtain this album." - Creative Loafing.

"What matters is that the Ditchflowers crank out darn fine music, and, more specifically, the fact that Carried Away`s 12 compositions are action packed with melody and lush instrumentation. Helmed by Ed Woltil (who also led the Tampa band Mad for Electra) and Brian Merrill (formerly at the head of Barely Pink), who trade lead vocals, and with Woltil as primary songwriter, the Ditchflowers strum, swoon, swing, and sway themselves into a prime spot in your music collection - what was I saying about the album title and the cover? Never mind. It¯¿½s easy to forget the small stuff when the songs are so grand."-PopMatters. Listen for yourself - How? Check it out!

It is all good, always! I've known of Ed Woltils' singing and songwriting talents back when he started "dogfoot" back in the late 60's and also intoduced his solo talent with releases like "Ignatz, hit me with a lovn' brick" and the instrumental street song "bump, bump bump be dump". When Ed Woltil is involved with a project, I can assure you that is a class act and you will find timeless pleasure in listening to his genius! Way to go "Edvo"! "The Polish One"

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this CD....such wonderful music! I've known Ed Woltil since he was in junior high school in Largo, FL Back then I had no idea of his talent. Great work, Ed. The Polish One's sister
