i'm a little too close to this man to be objective but i must put in my two cents worth on this collection... JAMIE HOOVER is a criminally over-looked writer & singer...this record reveals that he has consistently created some of the most fantastic pop music ever made...yes, i said ever made...for over twenty years he has dedicated himself, heart & soul, to this genre & he is feircely & justifiably proud of his work...those of you who already know JAMIE will find this record interesting because so often JAMIE's songs have been part of a broader spectrum...The SPONGETONES, The VAN DELECKI'S, or in tandem with BILL LLOYD...don't get me wrong, all this great company is wonderful but when you hear his songs all together like this, you get a better feeling for the man himself...it shows his intuitive harmonic sense, his pure talent as a guitar player & his masterful production... like i said, screw objectivity...any one that loves music owes it to themselves to check HOOVER out...
