Great band, now known as The Lund Bros., whose 2 CD set is a must `check out`! They were also known as Loser before this band, and that band has one THE very best sounding Posies inspired releases we have ever heard. Anyway, this is NOT the festival CD compilation, but a wickedly cool band from Washington state with the same name and source of inspiration: Material Issue---as well as The Posies (Ken Stringfellow helps out w/ the engineering) and The Hollies. Tons of smooth, powerful ringing guitars, memorable vocals and hooks that come from all directions. It`s classic, timeless power pop done early 2000`s style. "Just pump out quality, standard pop/rock songs, 3-4 minutes in length with enough hooks to make even the most prepared fisherman envious..."Big Deal", replete with harmonizing and tight song structure, leaves no doubt of the band`s heavy Beatles and Beach Boys influences....pop is not a dirty a word here"VivaTacoma. Many Songs, especially "Sweet Sense Amerlia", also, leave a strong Hollies visitation, as do many of the vocal harmonies strewn throughout the 13 great songs.
