20 new songs for 2008 from The Lolas! “Imagine the Byrds sweet jingle-jangle cranked up to 11 with the intensity of the early (pre-Tommy) Who, along with the high-speed velocity of the Ramones, and the killer hooks of classic AM Top 40 bubblegum. This and all the Lolas CD's feature relentless and joyful guitar Pop that will stick in your head for days.”-Billy Spradlin, JangleRadio. For fans of The Beatles, Kinks, Silver Sun, Steve Miller Band, The Cars, The Byrds, The Sweet, T.Rex, 60's, 70's, and psych pop, jangle pop, mod pop – all here and accounted for! The Lolas just keep finding their stride and get better and better in the songwriting department with all their cool chord changes and bubble-gummy melodies inside a sharp, loud guitar sound with lots of handclaps and sing along choruses.

At first, this one was not *quite* as immediate as their last one but on second listen it was clear what was going on was a logical extention of their strengths and a new layer of sophistication that has all the urgency and power of their best work. Sweet and pure yet high-moving slash n burn 12 stringed charms are what`s going on here - with cherries and cream all over it, pop that will please old fans and easily embrace any pop fan unfamiliar with Shame Idols. References are early The Records, The Vandalias and The Beat. But it`s no retro parade as Lolas bring a modern crunch to their technique that makes a lot of this material very potentially radio friendly. EXTREMELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
