Fans of The Sugarplastic rejoice! Some of you know, the band has been releasing a bevy of singles. 7X7X7 was intended to be a vinyl only project, with the first record coming out in early 2003. After all 7 records were released, there was an overwhelming demand for these songs to see the light of day digitally. All the songs have been mastered together and the running order is different from that of the vinyl records. As long time fans, every time a new Sugarplastic song arrives, there`s an air of aural anticipation hard to put into words, there`s a king of sculptural kind of beauty going on w/ their material. You just know they`ll be some new twist, some new way with their quirkly melodies that will have you smiling, hitting repeat and saving on the `ole Ipod. The XTC inspiration is here, of course. Only Sugarplastic are more than just parroting influences, this is an experiment of creativity for the band as they explore complex guitar chords, melodic shadings, old time (as in 30`s, 40`s!) hooks and unusually lyrical journeys. Not familiar with them? Well, of the in print material still available, we recommend Tall Boy Records` "Will" as the best place to begin, but you would do worse than jumping in here or find a used copy of Geffen
Records` "Bang Goes The World". Regardless, the fact remains this written
thusly: 14 tracks total, 51 minutes of Sugarplastic music. All is right in the world. Extremely Highly Recommended.
