Aaron Fox & The Reliables` "Late Too Soon" starts off with a mighty pop with "Looking For A Place To Hide", a "Alex Chilton"/Replacements-styled anthem with plenty of jangle, hooks and sultry, throaty vocals. Plenty winners continue to flow from there revealing a band who will strongly appeal to fans of Gin Blossoms, the work of Michael Carpenter, BoDeans(and other heartland rock bands from the late 80s), Los Lobos, E-I-E-I-O and Tom Petty. The ringing, jangling guitars never let up so `jangle fans` have reason to jump in. "Harks back to a time when pop bands weren`t so easy to pigeonhole. The quartet`s melodic blend of acoustic and electric instruments definitely taps into a Midwestern tradition that includes Spooner, The Bodeans, and Thrift Store Halo. " Broken Hearted Toy. "Influences here are REM, Wilco, Crowded House, and Tom Petty and the album takes off with the jangle pop of "Over Again" similar to the Gin Blossoms. "False Alarm" continues the catchy standard rock vibe and "Get Down" sounds closer to those nineties indie college bands I loved back in the day. The production and musicianship are both first class here." - Power Pop Aholic blog. Very Highly Recommended!
