MARK SCHEER & FIVE STAR DIVE - All The Time In The World | This is Mark ScheerÂ`s third album on this site and each album he explores new sounds, all the time grabbing our attention. Earlier albums explored a more late 70s/earlyl 80s pure pop influences, "All The Time In The World" is more laid-back, band affair best represented by "HeartÂ`s Loaded Again"(Song #1 below), which for some reason really, really reminds of a track off of "Teenage Head" from FlaminÂ` Groovies(a very good thing). Much of this album veers into a rootsy, Laurel Canyon-like alt-country route that bands like Cosmic Rough Riders and The Autumn Defense. This release has a more defined `band feelÂ` and is the sound of a bunch of guys hanging out and writing good `ole rock Â`n roll songs with a laid-back beer buzz and itÂ`s easy to get pulled into the spirit, especially when they kick the songs up a rock notch and start sounding like a StonesÂ`ed up Faces. (Hear Song #3 for best representation of this). Recommended! Song #1 - mp3
Song #2 - mp3
Song #3 - mp3
Song #4 - mp3 |
