Fans of The Click Five, All American Rejects and Maroon 5 will get where The Cab is coming from and while a third of the songs here could be strong cuts from those two bands, both in hook-development and production values(ie: on the glossy side), The Cab go in a bit more direct pure pop fashion that will find stronger appeal with Not Lame folks. Listen below and you’ll hear what I’m typing about! “Some leniency is merited -- their debut captures a group of musicians just barely out of high school, so it's understandable that the Cab would work with what's familiar -- and Whisper War does show that they have enough talent to branch out and explore new sounds, even if they're not quite ready to do so here. The good news is that every youthful misstep, such as the overwrought lyrics on "Risky Business," is compensated for through bright, enthusiastic performances. One of the Cab's biggest strengths lies in their ability to craft catchy pop tunes, especially infectious choruses. “ – AMG. Normally, this type of band does not ‘wow’ me over, but The Cab do.
