SOLARAM - Love & The Sweet Divine | Three 4 Tens` Joe Tagg has a new side-project by the name of Solaram. The new name was inspired by Tagg`s astrological sign (he`s an Aries, hence the `ram in the name) and although the sound is unsurprisingly filled with Tagg`s psych-pop-sensibilities (a penchant for shoegaze that tends more towards a `spacier`-troubadour sound--think The Byrds if they were a less pastel The Dandy Warhols). This description also lends a comparison to his other band; but it stops here, and leaves the lighter stuff behind for a strong and layered sound introducing something more polished than previous.Described as having a "thought-inducing" sound by Joe Tag, some of Love & The Sweet Divine is lush, misty, shoegazery -- Stone Roses meets War, or Byrds meets Buzzcocks ("When She Falls", "Precious Time"). "Divided Lines" rocks heavy and anthemic -- think Zeppelin`s "Physical Graffiti" or Smashing Pumpkins, but with 60s-style organs and Psychedelphia attitude.
