It`s been six years since their last album but Poppy Nosh have returned with We Turn On. Co-Produced with Mitch Easter, Poppy Nosh, thankfully, does not let their obsessions with mid-to-late era Beatles obsessions disappear, but along with those, they bring some new influences to this release, their strongest. What are those? Well, a few will make the intelligent, well-informed Not Lamer rejoice: The Vinyl Kings, Martin Newell, The Breetles amongst them, but refrains of solo George Harrison`s early 70`s material pops up here and there along side plenty of Badfinger and the laid-back charms of Travelin` Wilburys. It`s a full on melange of sounds and instruments captured in songs presented as mini-epics. A breezy and creative pop porridge w/ whimsical, laid back hooks and melodies all over the place...Extremely Highly Recommended!
