Spongetones - Mersey Christmas |
Only available at Not Lame! The Spongetones have just pressed up this very
special release featuring one of
Not Lame`s fave bands doing Seasonal faves! Here`s what Jamie wrote me about
it: "All the songs on the Christmas cd (with the exceptions of "Christmas
Boy" and "Christmasland") we`re done for our fanclub people over the
years-we
used to send out free cassettes every year to members as a bonus. They were
all done quickly-usually during lunch hours, etc. They`re rough, but "good"
rough, if you know what I mean. Some are actually "live", usually from a
board cassette or something. "The Little Wiped Out Drummer Boy" was done
during our last sessions for "Odd Fellows"." 14 songs total including
"Chestnuts Roasting", "Jingle Bells", "Santa Claus is Coming To Town" and
more. Funny bits from the guys in the band are interspersed---a must have
for pop fans everywhere!
