EXCELLENT 6 song EP from this new Australian power pop band, what an intro! Get in there and check out the truly sugar-sweet, high-pitched vaguely glammy vocals, the classic indie power pop guitar work and chippy, sunny songs. It`s kind of like a really spastic, spunky version of Matthew Sweet and Teenage Fanclub. There`s some Redd Kross and Supergrass here, too. Guitar pop is all about fun, catchy, upbeat music you can sing along to and that`s what Sugarhit has tried to capture in their music. "We are talking sweet harmonised pop of the classic 80`s via 60`s school. `We go round` could just about be an out-take from The Someloves - now there`s high praise as power pop enthusiasts will confirm. Those deep thinking folks will tell you there is more to life than cars and girls but for three minutes or so every so often, that`s all you need to sing about.
