As long time fans, every time a new Sugarplastic song arrives, there`s an air of aural anticipation hard to put into words, there`s a king of sculptural kind of beauty going on w/ their material. You just know they`ll be some new twist, some new way with their quirkly melodies that will have you smiling, hitting repeat and saving on the `ole Ipod. The XTC inspiration is here, of course. Only Sugarplastic are more than just parroting influences, this is an experiment of creativity for the band as they explore complex guitar chords, melodic shadings, old time (as in 30`s, 40`s!) hooks and unusually lyrical journeys.
