TRULY AWESOME FULL LENGTH CD at an EP PRICE! Out of nowhere this super-snappy blast of pure pop fun comes! Echoes of many faves of Not Lamers will snap, crackle and pop to the surface here including early Elvis Costello & The Attractions, classic Squeeze, early Joe Jackson, Any Trouble, The Yachts and many happy sideward glancings to XTC(listen to soundbite #2 below for a good example) sift in all over the place. Records like "Isolated Twins" don`t get made these days. Why? Well, if you are going to attack these kinds of influences you better be *good* - real *good* - to be up to the task as when you fall short and flat with pulling this kind of material off, it results in a puerile pile of pop poop. No where do we get near that here w/ The Jones Thing - it`s an exultant celebrations of times from yesteryear without being lamely nostalgic.
