Man, 2008 is finishing off STRONG. Add The Lund Bros most recent album into the wrestling match in my mind and ears for best of the year. What makes the accomplishment more auspicious is this a 2 CD with 22 songs Posies-inspired pop perfection. I have said before about brothers Chris and Shawn Lund - if you miss the classic Posies sound of the early/mid 90s, look no further than the work from these guys. Yes, it has been argued the collective work of said Seattle band was spotty with their album work - let it be known there is no such shortcoming on "Songbook IV" from The Lund Bros. Seriously, *you* come up with 22 songs and be bold enough to push them out there and let them stand alongside each other and, at the same time, not diminish the impact of `the whole` - each song stands on its own.
