Produced by Chris Von Sneidern (a stamp of quality in and of itself), this San Francisco foursome run a diverse course of sounds; mod/power pop, Flamin` Groovies and The Animals - like R&B, and *lots* of the power pop punch of Paul Collins` The Beat, The Plimsouls and The Knack. Ther`s almost Stonesy root element to this updated sounds here. While it`s all burning up a feverish state, the sugary hooks and slashing slendery tight melodies cut like a Ginzu knife. Youthful and un-self-conscious, this is refreshing, unpretentious, simply played music that is very appealing to power pop fans.
