The Kootz - Tales From The Endless Bus Tour Of NJ | Featuring Breetle Chris Breetveld and a host of fans gathering, it appears, loosely to cut loose, have some fun and hit `record` and see what happens. The results? While stylistically visiting many destinations not just New Jersey, it`s surprisingly cohesive and a lot of fun. Lead off track "15 Minutes of Fame" breaks out the strong NJ Smithereens song, you`d swear *is* one, while an excellent selection of cover tunes increases the `fun quotient` dramatically including covers of "My Back Pages", "That Thing You Do", "Laugh, Laugh". They even make Lenny Kravitz`s "Believe" almost listenable again! Tommy James even makes an appearance as does Smithereen Dennis DikenThe best songs are the ones that stay close the home and talents gathered here, including Breetveld`s "Fisticuffs" and Chris Bolger`s "15 Minutes Of Fame" and "Same As You". It`s an off the cuff affair, we suppose but the results highlight a bunch of talented friends getting together coming up with a very strong collection of music they can not only be proud,
but share with the rest of us happily. Very Highly Recommended.

| A Classic | |
| Reviewer: Jo-Ann Wallster | | I have had the pleasure and privilege to hear "The Kootz" live, and now their CD from "The Endless Bus Tour Of New Jersey" This group of men who make up "The Kootz" are the most proficient and incredibly talented I've heard in many, many years. If you haven't heard them live, you will be enchanted with their CD. The sound is the best I've heard, the instrumentals perfect, and the lyrics everyone can relate too.
At a young age, my personal, and long time listening pleasure and preference was with Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Beethoven, and many more of the classics. Well, for me, Rock and Roll came along, I loved it, and now we have "The Kootz" to bring it all to us, as well as their own work. Their work is, without a dought, Classic, and will live on forever.
If you haven't been to one of their concerts, take the pleasure in hearing their CD. |
