2003 has just begun as we write this, but witness one of the year`s very best indie-released power pop albums. Almost four years has passed since their last album, but the tweaking and knob-turning that has gone with this incredible release, shows that every minute was worth it as there`s not much of anything to find fault with here. Combing and combining classic modern power pop hooks and melodies that one finds in such bands as Superdrag, , Brendon Benson, Tsar, Phantom Planet and mid-90`s Blur. Fans of these bands should love this, but honestly, this is one of those releases that pretty much most folks here at Not Lame should really dig. There`s massive, spiraling guitar with rich, deeply melodic tones, passionate singing and exceptional hooks. Insider the modern sounds of the bands mentioned before, you`ll find classic melody lines from great 70`s rock bands. Plus, ex-Masticators leader, Lisa Mychols is now in the fold holding down the rhythm section and adding backing vocals that work well with lead singer`s Tom Richards Weller-esque lead vocs. This is intense, crunch `n sweet smart pop *not* to be missed. Extremely Highly Recommended!
