The Red Button - She's About To Cross My Mind

So who are these Mop-topped, Beat-driven, Jangled Up, Rickenbacker
obsessed guys called The Red Button?

Well, long-time folks will recognize the names Seth Swirsky and Mike Ruekberg. Swirsky released the amazing "Instant Pleasure" in 2004 and has been a huge fave here since and Ruekberg was in the long-departed, much beloved Rex Daisy. The album has help from Willie Wisely and well-respected producer/engineer John Fields and stamp of quality you are listening to right now, we hope!

Not Lame has been doing this since 1995 folks and rare, *rare* is the
album that is THIS jaw-droppingly pop perfect.

All the hall marks are here: Air-tight harmonies, widely angled sharp,
tuneful confections that offer maximum hooks-per-groove in a classic
early Beatle-power pop style, with similarly brilliant harmonies and armies
of marching ringing guitars.

But the music is playing off this site right now to prove it, so to say we stand behind these hyped-up words is for you decide for your own music taste, not ours.
Fair enough?

Not Lame is going to deliver more for you, though.

Rex Daisy released one amazing album called "Guys 'n Dolls" back in
1996 which is out of print. This album caught the attention of Geffen Records,
who signed the band. And, promptly, recorded a record with
Paul Fox
and then, after much inane, spineless, clueless, corporate muddling,
they dropped the band before the record came out.

Not, enuff Axel grease in the sound. Or something like that.
Anyway, hear the real pop sounds when you pick up The Red Button
from Not Lame!  One of these songs is from an unreleased from 1994
produced by Andy Paley and mixed by John Fields.  For those in the know,
you KNOW how cool that is!
