Refusing to limit their interests to a single genre, Central Services has been praised for both their acoustic singer-songwriter side, their indie-pop influence, and their raw rock sound. Their sound is influenced by the aforementioned artists as well as Wilco, Matthew Sweet, early Posies, New Pornographers, Paul McCartney, Aimee Mann, The Shins, and Elliott Smith.
