CRAWPUPPIES - World`s Much Biggerhttp://www.notlame.com/CDCRAWPUPPIES1.htmlCRAWPUPPIES - World`s Much BiggerCRAWPUPPIES - World`s Much BiggerCrawpuppies` "World`s Much Bigger" is their second album, both of which available here at Not Lame(but, of course). I never knew what a `crawpuppy` was until listening to their albums(they are hushpuppies filled with a crawfish stuffing, for the record - I think!). I can`t quite draw comparisons from the food to the music but that matters not. Both of their albusm are just flat-out keepers! Reminds me of mid 80s Game Theory(think "Big Plans For Everybody") and The dBs ("The Sound Of Music" and late 80s REM. Throw in some Trip Shakespeare, Toad The Wet Sprocket and some Goo Goo Dolls and....well, you only get a rough approximation! Dig in - listen to the samples below - they tell the story as it should be told.
"The Crawpuppies surprise us with their original music debut. The sound is overall very poppy. Largely acoustic driven and sporting a fair amount of Beatles influence on songs like "Outta My Head" and "Ode To The Eggman (Heartbent Abused)." The softer "Slave To The Puppeteer" works just as well, driven by drummer Chris Karp`s marching band snare rolls. "Out Of Control" has a strong James Taylor quality to it. Songwriter Chad Clifford writes compelling lyrics and blends them well with strong melody lines. In short, Clifford has crafted a nice collection of multi-flavored songs which his long-time band executes remarkably well. " - TOM LOUNGES Time Correspondent. "A superb disc of classically written guitar pop. Timeless music that sounds as if it could have been recorded today, tomorrow or in 1965. The strong vocals are the first thing that jumps out, followed by the incredibly tight ensemble playing and unique lyrics. A keeper!"- Ear Candy Radio. Both albums from Crawpuppies are VERY Highly Recommended!!
 Song #1 - mp3

 Song #2 - mp3

 Song #3 - mp3

 Song #4 - mp3

 Song #5 - mp3

http://www.notlame.com/CRAWPUPPIES/Page_1/CDCRAWPUPPIES1.html
