JASON FALKNER - All Quiet On The Noise Floorhttp://www.notlame.com/CDFALKNER4.htmlJASON FALKNER - All Quiet On The Noise FloorJASON FALKNER - All Quiet On The Noise FloorJUST OUT and.....here!! Japan only so the price is brutal - undeniable. Just as undeniable....it`s a new Jason Falkner solo album, his first in 2 1/2 years. No concrete news on US release - again. Like his last one, it was much threatened over the course of 2+ years, "I`m OK, You`re OK" would come out in the US. It never did. Same thing applying here? Well, we`ll see but in the meantime, the hardcore of us shall plunge ahead knowing a new Falkner album is much cause for celebration! I had 15 copies of this a few days ago - but they went in.....FIFTEEN MINUTES! I am hoping to have more back in here in about two, maybe three weeks, so stay tuned. You can order away - no problem, just know that it will not be shipping for a bit. <p> "Still drenching everything in a guitars-at-the-front-of-the-mix 1970s power pop style, Falkner`s songs are better this time around. Tunes such as "Maybe The Universe", "Doin`Me In" and "Emotion Machine" are instantly catchy and hard to get out of your head.I also have to give a recommendation to the mostly-acoustic "ounting Sheep", one of the most infectious melodies Falkner has graced us with since his first album. Another catchy number, "My Home Is Not A House", dates back to Falkner`s well-circulated demo tapes and originated during his brief stint as one of The Grays. "Doin` Me In" is a fast-paced, talky rocker that lands somewhere between The Clash and The Knack in style. " - The Log Book. <p> In the meantime, enjoy the sampling here below of some samples from the album! One of my favorite covers I`ve heard *anyone* in a long time Falkner attacks here - from one of all-time favorite bands, Be Bop Deluxe "Jet Silver And The Dolls Of Venus" - it soundbite #6 below. <p> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner401.mp3"><img src="http://www.notlame.com/images/ear.jpg" width="20" border=0 alt="power pop, independent music"></a> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner401.mp3">Song #1</a> - mp3</p><p><p> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner402.mp3"><img src="http://www.notlame.com/images/ear.jpg" width="20" border=0 alt="power pop, independent music"></a> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner402.mp3">Song #2</a> - mp3</p><p><p> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner403.mp3"><img src="http://www.notlame.com/images/ear.jpg" width="20" border=0 alt="power pop, independent music"></a> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner403.mp3">Song #3</a> - mp3</p><p><p> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner404.mp3"><img src="http://www.notlame.com/images/ear.jpg" width="20" border=0 alt="power pop, independent music"></a> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner404.mp3">Song #4</a> - mp3</p><p><p> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner406.mp3"><img src="http://www.notlame.com/images/ear.jpg" width="20" border=0 alt="power pop, independent music"></a> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner406.mp3">Song #5</a> - mp3</p><p><p> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner407.mp3"><img src="http://www.notlame.com/images/ear.jpg" width="20" border=0 alt="power pop, independent music"></a> <a href="http://www.notlame.com/audio/cdfalkner407.mp3">Song #6</a> - mp3</p><p>http://www.notlame.com/JASON_FALKNER/Page_1/CDFALKNER4.html
