Fortunately, the 3 songs here that serve as an introduction to the band very nicely, the 3 songs more than subtly hint as great things to come. Lead off track "Blue Shadows" is the immediate grabber here reminding me of Hillis` solo work and a more acoustic side of Matthew Sweet. The other two songs remain simply adorned with straightforward, acoustic driven arrangements and find a way to hit their mark.
