2006 saw the debut of Evan Hillhouse arrive and herald the arrival of another extremely talented young man(he was 17 in `06) who did not spend his youth listening to lame indie rock, alt bands but on the classics of the power pop genre - bless him. Blessings to us. In 2009, his follow up arrives "Transition" is both that and none of that. It`s pure power pop of the best sort, taking all the components of what made his debut so striking and successful and, at the same time, `going fo r it`. Hillhouse naturally pushes himself to reach beyond what came so easily back in 2006 and seeing what he`s capable of now.
