Naturally, there is a strong Searchers vibe(a good thing, of course), and some British Freakbeat and mod-pop(think Small Faces.). When he left the Searchers at the height of their success in 1964, bassist Tony Jackson seemed destined for fame and fortune. It didnt work out that way, but that was no fault of his music over the next three years, which ranged from superb UK soul to American-influenced folk-rock. "You`re My Number One" by the Tony Jackson Group. You`ll be amazed at how much this song sounds like the contemporary retro band the Resonars and the Hollies! "-Eric Sorensen, Fufkin.com. A really, really nice find and reissue.<p>
