The recording quality has taken huge steps forward and the songs don`t play it safe and experiment with different angles inside the pop structure but it all mends itself perfectly inside the rewarding package that is "Cloud". The song samples here represent the character of the album accurately - my favorite is track #4 below, which could walked off a late 90s album The Posies. Insanely catchy! The old style power pop stylings on the first sample are timeless sounds for many Not Lamers. Other songs remind of some of the more melodic, song-oriented songs of Rush and Yes. Trust me - it`s there and it`s cool! It`s an album that is ambitious, reaches skyward and falls back to earth with grace, style and confidence.
