PARACHUTE - Losing Sleep

I live in the land of The Fray here in Colorado - they are huge. I get it, I don`t. A band like Parachute - very similar to The Fray in sound - work for me. They add a bit more edge(if one can even say that) to their well-sheened pop studio perfection. I`m a hook guy - they bring it on there, even if these are melodies and hooks reconstructed from well worn templates.

Additionally, musically, too many of the songs fall into two main grooves: Ben Folds-like piano-oriented mid-tempo tunes that don`t build to any kind of climax and slightly buoyant, rhythmic pop songs such as the kind made famous by Maroon 5, such as "Back Again" and "She (For Liz)."
