The Rudds - Get The Femuline Hang Onhttp://www.notlame.com/CDRUDDS2.htmlThe Rudds - Get The Femuline Hang OnThe Rudds - Get The Femuline Hang OnONLY ONE AND GONE.....First Come, First Gets It!Okay, this one came out a few years ago, but there are so many new people in the Not Lame family and I just happened to listen to this on my Ipod a few days ago and was just majorly digging it, I am making it my mission to 2005 release from The Rudds! We absolutely loved, loved their out of print self-titled debut and cool as that was(and it was!), this one leaves that in the dust! This could hold up to make my Top 10 or 20 of the year, we`ll see..but in the meantime, Real, good old fashion rock `n roll in the vein of The Figgs, the first Cheap Trick album, Spymob, A.C Newman and The New Pornographers, classic early The Tubes, Todd Rundgren playing Raspberries, Hall and Oates and Prince (a very good thing here, trust us!) and a bit of the Replacements. In fact, so many of the consistently astounding and excellent songs here are as classic as the best in many of these listed bands` catalogs! "The Rudds constructs three-minute pop tunes that take their obvious inspiration from Cheap Trick. Their sound, though, is a little heavier but just as melodic. Discerning listeners can catch everything from Journey to Green Day to Frank Zappa. That is no knock on the band as the guys crank it up and take on the persona of the funny kid in the back of the classroom."-Boston Phoenix.
OH yeah, it gets better. Member of the band? On guitar, give it up for Brett Rosenberg. There are no "filler" songs put on "Get The Femuline Hang On". All 12 songs belong. Produced by Tony Goddess of Papas Fritas and John Powhida(the visionary and leader of the band) and featuring such immense talents as Bleu, Probyn Gregory(Wondermints, Brian Wilson Band) and Mike Gent Of The Figgs, The Rudds have produced a true tour-de-massive-pop-force that is to be reckoned with. Just listen to what we`ve put before your ears below. Cruise them all, hear what you think! We think it does the talking better than typing more words other than, righteously Extremely Highly Recommended, big time!
Oh No! - mp3
Tony Savarino - mp3
Stand A Chance - mp3
Astrological Sign Choker - mp3
Something Great - mp3
F#/C - mp3http://www.notlame.com/Browse_by_Artist/R/The_Rudds/Page_1/CDRUDDS2.html
