TICKLED PINK - s/t (Bob Nyswonger)

A 2009 project that features Bob Nyswonger(The Psychodots, The Raisins, The Bears) and Bam Powell(The Raisins) and is a radio-friendly smorgasboard of rootsy-sounding rock with elements of pop, blues and 60`s R&B featuring strong playing and songs with hooks. Tickled Pink also features Telecaster master Scott Covrett on guitar and the three men venture out on an adventure of 3 incredibly talented musicians dishing it out for themselves first and their listeners and fans next. As it should be. They share songwriting duties evenly and jump from power pop, NRBQ-styled rockabilly, swampy blues and straight up rock. Sounds all over the place and it is but this adventure plays out wonderfully, effortlessly. These guys are not dialing anything in - they are putting their best efforts forth for the sake of their buddies` songs creating a connection the material that you can pull out of thin air and replicate with partners that have just shown up to play their parts.

This powerhouse trio writes songs with infectious hooks and plays them with a "take no prizoners" attitude. Searing lead guitar, driving melodic bass and groovacious drums combined with soulful vocals are all trademarks of this Pop/Rock/Blues band, and fuses it all together with intelligent lyrics. At their whim, they can also choose one or more items from the psychedelicatessen.
