Well, we put a bunch in front of your eyeballs but this one we want to make sure you are paying attention because if you want to discover a lotof great, great new bands, many of them very much on the power pop side of things but all just downright melodic driven-beginning to end---well, this is one not to miss, pure and simple. 17 songs, nary but a few this side of duff-ish and a batting average well over .900 for you baseball fans. Bands? Familiar ones like The Shambles(amazing track, one of their finest), The Rubinoos(wow! a cover as only they can do of Love`s "My Little Red Book"), The Well Wishers(Not Lame band, what more needs to be said?!), The Muffs, Lisa Mychols, Chantigs, Anna Waronker but bonus glee is set solid w/ all the new cool discoveries and future stars on the pop parade......Persephone`s Bees, Marc DeCerbo, The Paranoids, the soaring jangle of The Sleaves, the swinging psych Monkees-cum-Beach Boys-via-Polyphonic Spree with 20 Minute Loop, the Parthenon Huxley-like craft with Pool Party and who can`t love a band with the name of Caroline No?! Yup, Extremely Highly Recommended.
