One Of 2007's Best Releases - Right Here, Right Now

The Ditchflowers

Not Lame asks you to just let the music play right now.  We are talking

all kinds of great sounds here:  Jon Brion (go to "Spend My Life"), The

Odds (check out "Since I Met You"), The Rembrandts, Blue Cartoon,

Todd
Rundgren, Willie Nile, Jim Boggia and Toy MatineeSmooth,

clean
vocals, multi-part harmonies and instantly indelible hooks with layers

and layers of sublime nuance to  peel back and find a different joy every time

you listen to it. What do all those artists have in common?  SONGS

Great songs
. They are here en masse.  Each song on "Carried Away" has

a unique personality to introduce.  The great thing is you want to invite each one

into your heart.

Who are The Ditchflowers?  Well, long time Not Lamers will remember

Barely Pink who released 4 mighty fine albums and an EP of classic Cheap Trick

inspired power pop in the late 90's and early 00's.  Brian Merrill, the

leader of that band returns playing in The Ditchflowers along with one

Ed Woltil, an unknown in the Not Lame world.

Well, not anymore. Woltil is one serious, stunning songwriter, which

all you have to do is play one minute of the songs here quickly to confirm.

Woltil and Merrill teamed up to create "Carried Away" and Not Lame along with

this duo have a kick-butt offer for you on this righteous slab of great songs.

So, you still checking out all the songs?  Come on.  Do it!

This is what Not Lame worked up for you!

3 of the 4 Barely Pink albums are out of print and many of you have

never heard this band -  and Not Lame wants to fix this sad situation by

getting these songs into your hands and then ears so they live on.

Basically, we have an entire second album's worth of bonus tracks to send

along to you - via download - from the band that All Music Guide described thusly:

"melodic rockers Barely Pink make punchy pop/rock inspired by such '70s pop

luminaries as Todd Rundgren, Cheap Trick, and Kiss
."  9 songs from their

first three releases, Starduster, Number One Fan and Elli's

Suitcase
. Heck, these songs here are already worth the cost of this offer

and we've picked their very best! But take advantage of this offer now as

But you know, we don't mess around as it is important that you get the

most value for your support of independent music.  So, with that.....

Woltil was kind enough to dig through his music closet and find three

choice tracks never heard from one of his previous bands, Drive Thru

Church
.  The quality is all over these tracks. We've heard 'em!

Not Lame has to do it up!

Back in 2003, Not Lame released "Last Day Of Summer" which was

the last we all heard from Barely Pink.   We want you to hear this

material and have as much music as possible to enjoy for only $12!

12 songs from The Ditchflowers, 9 out of print Barely Pink

songs, 3 more from their most recent release and 3 unreleased songs

from Ed Woltil's glorious
, unknown pop  past

25 full blown pop nuggets.

But the real deal, the whole thrust of all these words is really

just The Ditchflowers.   I have listened to this album almost 10 times now

and, while it blew me away on first listen, it gets better and better with each

listen. There's so many diverse, but classic sounds for the pop fan,

especially the one that has a refined, picky ear.  Each song stitches a pattern of simple

chords but they end up in a mosaic that makes real musical art.

So, please ENJOY listening to The Ditchflowers here at Not Lame.
